What would you do in such an event?

If a situation like that were to occur it is important to stay objective... you have to first quarantine the ill regardless of who they are or even destroy ones that are carriers. If a member of my family was infected it would be even harder to still be objective but you must still be because if people aren't then the epidemic would never be cured and would run rampant throughout the population. My first refuge would be to any island and pray that the virus wasn't airborne. I would try to save others because if you only save yourself then what is the point of surviving? I believe the chances of an epidemic like this are continuously growing with the antibiotic crisis... bacteria are getting immune to our normal antibiotics and evolving to be more resistant to other treatments, so if this keeps up then the likelihood of such an event increases.
