Is it ok to kiss a girl minutes after you met her?

I was at a bar and this really cute girl bumped into me. So we started to talking for a lil while, but then i just wanted to kiss her but i felt as though it would been completely inappropriate. any ways all of the sudden her friend just whisked her away and i had to leave too. I never even got to ask her for her number.
