Can I put my orchid plant in a gl vase with the roots and foliage?

Do you mean placing the pot and all in a terrarium or do you mean taking your the plant out of it's pot and putting the whole thing in a vase? The terrarium thing is okay but I don't suggest doing the latter. Anyway, what species do you have? With most common orchids, If you repot during flowering you are going to lose the flowers.
